What is Laryngeal Manual Therapy?
Otherwise known as Vocal Massage Therapy, LMT is a massage involving the neck, jaw, voice, tongue and temple muscles. The methodology that Ruby Slippers UK practices is a holistic approach to this tried and tested massage therapy, and involves slowing the nervous system to unlock tension and Dysphonia symptoms.
What is LMT for?
- Globus Pharyngeus / Globus Hystericus - a sense of a ‘lump’ in the throat
- Vocal strain (Laryngitis)
- Loss of range or smooth transitions between vocal registers
- Freeing up the belt voice quality
- Difficulty swallowing or swallowing disorders
- Muscle Tension Dysphonia

Will it be painful?
This holistic approach is not designed or meant to be painful. The massage is tailored to your sensations within the muscles and optimises tension release and minimises pain.
How long are the sessions?
All massage appointments are 50 minutes long.
